Rooted in Swiss modernism and experimental design, "Concrete Grunge" is a study of archival visual and avant-garde aesthetics. This collection of works refine raw physical textures into cohesive and visually striking designs.
It is a deliberate departure from polished digital perfection, opting instead for noisy textures and chaotic hierarchy. The result is a series of poster designs that blend grunge and photorealistic assets to create a comprehensive design system.

Approach
The design language was established early: photorealistic assets, noisy grain, and a neutral palette. This framework allows for a high-contrast visual that emphasizes texture and depth.
Typography and blending modes define the framework, balancing minimalist structure with maximalist detail. Designing through the lens of my personal interests, I create a digital collection embodying niche subculture and experimental photorealism.
Outcome
Beyond just a series of posters, "Concrete Grunge" serves as a visual archive of subculture influences translated into a experimental digital collection.
More than a design, this is a conglomerate of my current obsessions and interests. Combining my love for grunge aesthetics and experimental type, "Concrete Grunge" resulted in raw and gritty visual designs.
This passion project spans a lengthened period across my earlier years of university. Each poster frames a different piece of media through that experimental and grunge lens. What started as one-off project, became a bigger system of archival design.
